Welcome to Isofar, a wild land severe in its beauty. The Isofarian people take great pride in their ability to flourish among the hostile wildlife and cruel elements of their mountainous home. As a member of the Isofarian guard, life is never dull. You try to keep the peace among your fellow Isofarians (a never-ending job), as well as deal with constant threats from the aggressive Falmund Empire to the south.
But now, the old patterns are shifting. New forces are at work that will challenge the very underpinnings of reality. You will guide eight different Isofarian Guards throughout 5 interweaving campaigns as they deal with a power that threatens not only Isofar, but the entire world.
In The Isofarian Guard, you will travel throughout the cities and wildernesses of Isofar on a beautifully illustrated world map, fight off enemies using a unique and highly customizable battle system, and use your wits to talk your way out of sticky situations. The Music of Isofar
When we began creating the vast world of Telios we wanted to make it come alive with music. Isofar, one of the countries in Telios is in the far northeastern area of the continent. There's a vast snowy mountainous area in the north and sweeping plains in the south. The music and sound of the people there had to have a distinct sound and feel. So, we reached out to composer Satta Rojanagatanyoo to compose an orchestral score that would accompany the immersive voice acting that players would experience with Forteller! Take a listen to the main theme of The Isofarian Guard featuring vocalist Julie Elven who has sung on games like World of Warcraft, League of Legends, Horizon Zero Dawn, and more!
Gameplay
How to Play
The Isofarian Guard is played in various phases.
The exploration phase
During the exploration phase you'll move the Guards across a beautifully illustrated map of the country of Isofar. Each city location in the country even has its own mini-map with a close-up detailed view of the location. Draw chips from an event bag to see what happens at the location you travel to!
The battle phase
When a skull chip is drawn from the event bag you've encountered an enemy in the wild! Once in battle, you’ll utilize the bag building system. Draw chips from each of the Guards’ bags and activate various abilities while balancing your resources to defeat the enemies. Use materials obtained by defeating enemies to craft new equipment, unlock new skills using Lux essence, and rebuild your fort to push back the darkness taking over Isofar!
The narrative phase
When you’d like to progress the story you’ll move the Guards to a narrative chip to begin the narrative phase. You'll either read the narrative from the campaign book, or listen to the scene with Forteller!

I have now completed 2 campaigns of the 5, and it's better than I anticipated. High quality fun great story. This game offers everything I want, solo, open world, campaign play, interesting combat, narrative adventure, crafting, customizing, value, it's all there. I also enjoy the plentiful content, there's always something to go and do, but not necessary to progress the main narrative, so you can chose how much you want to explore. Each game session is as long as you chose because you can 'pause' anytime you want. Fast set up and quick tear down also helps this stay on the table.

Innovative combat, fun crafting system and a compelling world that you get to take part in. The open world feels a lot like Skyrim. The quests feel worthwhile and taking damage feels meaningful as you travel. The game audio narration is really well done, and the box is ginormous. This is a 2 Player dream game if you like character progression, exploration, and awesome combat. It's a bit reminiscent of a great JRPG experience. This is the perfect game for my wife and I to play many hours together!

* RPG Skill tree upgrading
* Strategic combos with abilities (both each character and off each other)

All in all... I can't think of another game that does ALL of this in one box. 10/10

Absolument épique.
Certes on pourra argumenter sur la répétition des combats, mais c'est le cœur du jeu.

This game is simply amazing! Great story, amazing quality, and lots of content. The mechanic is simple, once you get the hang of it If you like solo/co-op medieval/fantastic adventure games. This is definitely a game that you want to get your hands on!
