The story of Veilward begins after the calamity that shook Isofar. As nations struggle to rebuild and new factions fight for control, two new Guards — Rei and Luka — are called to become Veilwardens, warriors capable of traversing between the physical world and the mysterious spirit realm known as the Veil. Journey across Isofar and into the neighboring land of Falmund in an all-new narrative adventure filled with danger, discovery, and unforgettable characters.

Veilward introduces Rei and Luka, two entirely new Guards with distinct combat styles and powerful Sacred Flames. Rei channels the radiant Azure Flame to cleanse corruption through [Purify], shielding allies while unleashing overwhelming light. Luka harnesses the hidden power of the Roseus Flame, using [Refract] to manipulate darkness through careful sequencing and precision. Together, they bring a new layer of strategy, synergy, and identity to every battle.

Explore Through the Veil
In Veilward, players can slip directly into the Veil while exploring the world map. Traveling through the spirit realm allows Rei and Luka to bypass dangerous encounters and move quickly across Isofar and Falmund — but every shortcut comes with a cost. As tension rises, something within the Veil begins to take notice, creating escalating threats that can hunt players across the map.
A New Battle System
Enter the Veil Battle Phase
Veilward expands the core combat system with an entirely new Veil Battle Phase. While the familiar bag-building gameplay remains at the heart of combat, players can now transform Rei and Luka into their Veilwarden forms mid-battle. In this state, traditional ability cards are replaced with powerful Veil Ability Cards drawn from new customizable decks, dramatically changing the flow and pacing of combat encounters.

The Veil Battle Phase introduces a new deck-building system centered around grid-based card placement and elemental linking. Veil Ability Cards feature symbols along their edges that connect together to trigger powerful effects, encouraging players to carefully position and shift cards during battle. Combining these linked abilities with the classic chip bag mechanics from the base game creates deeper tactical decisions and explosive combo potential.

The voices behind the Veil
We’re excited to partner with Forteller Games again to provide an incredibly immersive experience while playing Veilward!
You can expect 10+ hours of audio narration with hours of orchestral music composed to each scene so the sound ebbs and flows with what’s happening in the story!
Sarah Smithton will be voicing for Rei and Alexander Ross will be voicing for Luka.
You can also expect the same beautiful orchestral music as we had in The Isofarian Guard. The soundtrack will be composed by Satta Rojanagatanyoo.
Julie Elven has partnered with us again to sing for the main theme of Veilward as well as some other tracks. Julie also sung on the main theme of The Isofarian Guardand is known for her work on Horizon Zero Dawn, League of Legends, World of Warcraft, and many other projects.
